ARTOS RELEASES TWO NEW SOFTWARE UPGRADES
WAUKESHA, WIS. (March 1, 2005)

Two separate software upgrades are available for improved performance of the CS-337 and CS-326 wire stripping machine.

Artos Engineering Company, a Waukesha-based manufacturer of wire processing equipment, has announced the release of software upgrades for two models within its line of wire processing machines. The new software upgrades will allow users of the machines to realize better machine performance through enhanced features and improved ease of use.

Artos is releasing software version 10.2 for the Model CS-337 Programmable Wire Processor. A bench-top all electric machine, the CS-337 is capable of automatically cutting and stripping wire from 30 - 10 AWG. This new software upgrade expands the machines calibration functions, allowing calibration settings of wire length and strip lengths to be programmed and stored for each application. Additionally, the wire marking interface has been enhanced to allow for additional storage of required processing data. This software release can also be utilized on the Ideal Wire Processor Models 45-774 and 45-775.

Also being released is a new Windows XP based Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the CS-326 Servo Driven Wire Processor. With it's broad processing range, including cutting and stripping wires from 30 - 4 AWG, and up to 5/8" OD, the CS-326 is Artos' most demanded wire processor. With the new software release, users of this machine will enjoy enhanced programming ease and increased benefits of off-line programming capabilities. Additionally, the new software release shares a common data structure with Artos STX/MTX family of full process wire processing machines, enabling data to be share between the CS-326 and the STX/MTX style machine. This allows users to optimize their machine capacity by transferring production between these systems.

"Artos is committed to continually improving our products, even after the initial sale," said John Olsen, President of Artos Engineering Company. "The ability to easily manage information and communication between the operator and machine is a critical element in ensuring our machines remain at the leading edge of technology. These software releases will provide our customers with improved machine utilization, quality, and productivity."
